Organized by a global coalition that includes IEEE SA and the OECD, with partners like AI Commons, the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), UNESCO, VDE, the PARIS21 Foundation, and the World Bank, the Global Trust Challenge distinguishes itself through its collaborative nature and commitment to globally applicable solutions. It uniquely encourages participation from individuals and organizations worldwide, ensuring diverse perspectives and broad applicability. This initiative recognizes that individual policy and technical solutions alone are insufficient, fostering the integration of both policy and technology approaches in a practical, actionable manner.

The Global Trust Challenge will bring together technologists, policymakers, researchers, experts, and practitioners to propose and test innovative ideas that promote trust, emphasize resilience in the face of evolving information threats, and foster a healthy, trustworthy information ecosystem.
